Latest Zeiss Loxia and Batis Lens Rumors

PhotoRumors posted Some latest  Zeiss Loxia/Batis lens rumors:

  • One new Loxia lens will be announced in next year (2016), probably around Photokina. The possible focal length is between 85mm-100mm, aperture: f/2.8 or f/2.
  • There is no ultra-wide Loxia lenses in the future, because they are very hard to design. The current Zeiss Loxia 21mm f/2.8 is probably the widest angle lens in that product line.
  • There are two new Batis lenses in 2016 to fill-up the “holes” in the current lineup.

Canon EF 16-35mm F2.8L III lens is coming! According to the latest rumors from CR2, Canon will announce the EF 16-35mm F2.8L III sometime in 2016, along with  EOS 1D X Mark II in ealry 2016 or EOS 5D Mark IV in Spring of 2016. This new lens will use BR (Blue Spectrum Refractive element).
