A new Canon EF zoom lens is coming! According to the latest rumors from CR2, Canon is now planning to launch a new EF 70-200mm F2.8L lens to replace the current EF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS II USM lens in next 12 months, sometime of 2017.
The new lens will be called EF 70-200mm F2.8L IS III and will have a new design with a new IS system and optical upgrades and a little bit lighter weight. The current Canon EF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS II USM lens was announced five years ago and it is time to update.
