There is new review of the new released Sony FE 50mm F1.8 lens (Amazon/ B&H/ Adorama/ eBay) at the Taiwanese site Mobile01. They tested it on the Sony A7R II and found it “surprisingly competent performance”.

PROS:
- Bokeh in the center is good.
- It’s not tack sharp wide open but it’s a good performance for the money.
- It’s prone to purple fringing, flare and ghost
- fast enough auto-focus
