Tamron has just officially announced the SP 24-70mm f/2.8 Di VC USD G2 lens. It is the company’s second generation ‘standard’ zoom lens for full-frame Canon and Nikon DSLRs. It costs $1,199.00, $100 cheaper than new announced Sigma 24-70mm f/2.8 DG OS HSM Art lens. This new lens start shipping in September for Canon EF mount, and in August for Nikon F mount.
