According to the latest rumors from SAR, Sony is planning to announce four highly anticipated E-mount lenses before the summer season 2024.
These four new lenses are:
- Sony FE 24-70mm f/2 GM Lens
- Sony FE 16-25mm f/2.8 G Lens
- Sony FE 85mm f/1.4 GM II Lens
- One more new E-mount Lens

My thoughts too. It is the most obvious lens crying out for a Mk II treatment. That is not to say that the Mk I is a bad lens. It is probably the most important lens in the lineup for many users.
Sony needs a 300mm F4 like the Nikkor 300mm PF.
Sony won’t make it, maybe Sigma will ????
