Ive been shooting with my trusty DSLR for years but the shutter finally gave out last week and I really need a new mirrorless body before my trip to Japan in mid-October. Budget is around 1500 bucks but everything I find online seems overpriced right now. Does anyone have a lead on where to find decent sales or refurbished gear?

Honestly, skip the new market and go straight to the official manufacturer refurbished stores. I got my Sony Alpha a7 III Full-frame Mirrorless Camera that way and it works perfectly. You save hundreds and get a full warranty. Check the main site directly, it is usually way cheaper than third-party retailers.
