I just got this fujifilm x-h2s thing and honestly its way more camera than I know how to use yet lol. I kind of just bought it because I heard it was one of the best ones but now im looking at lenses and im totally lost. I want to take those nice blurry background photos of people like professional portraits but all the fujifilm brand lenses I see online cost like a thousand dollars which I definitely dont have right now after buying the camera body.
My budget is like maybe 300 or 350 dollars tops if i push it. I keep seeing things like 56mm or 35mm and f1.2 or f2.0 and I have no idea what any of that actually means for a beginner like me its all just numbers. Im trying to get some good shots of my niece at her birthday party next month so I need to find something soon and I am sorry if this is a really dumb question. Is there a cheap lens that still looks professional or maybe a different brand that fits on the fuji? I really dont want to mess this up since i spent so much on the camera itself... what should I look for?

^ This. Also, in my experience, a 35mm lens is often way more practical for indoor events like birthday parties where space is kinda tight. I've tried many lenses over the years, and the Fujifilm XC 35mm f2 is a sleeper hit. While its made of plastic, the glass is identical to the pro version. Its fast, sharp, and leaves you with extra cash for things like a spare battery... worth checking the sample galleries on DPReview first tho.
