Canon has just officially announced the new Canon RF 14-35mm F4L IS USM lens. It is an ultra-wide-angle zoom for the company’s full-frame mirrorless system, featuring numerous special elements, including three UD and three aspherical elements, along with Canon’s Sub-wavelength Structure and Air Sphere coatings, the minimum focus distance of 20cm (7.9″) and the max magnification of 0.38x. The lens is relatively compact, supports 77mm filters and weighs in at 544 g (1.2 lbs). This new lens costs $1,699, first available for pre-order at Amazon/ B&H/ Adorama.
