I just got an R50 for my trip to Orlando next month and I am so lost with all the settings. The lens it came with is okay but I want something that makes the background all blurry for pictures of my dog at the park. My budget is like $250 max... what are the best cheap lenses for a total beginner?

Honestly, for that budget, there is only one lens you should look at for that blurry look. I have been using this one for a year and it works well every time.
- Canon RF 50mm f/1.8 STM It is perfect for dog photos at the park. You will get way more background blur than the kit lens can ever do. Im very satisfied with how it handles low light too.
