I just bought this fancy Canon R6 because everyone said it was the best for photos but I honestly didnt realize it doesnt come with the glass part on the front like my old point and shoot did... I feel so stupid saying that but I literally just opened the box and its just the body and I'm staring at the sensor thing. Im going on a dream trip to Japan in like twelve days and I have zero clue what to buy now and I'm panicking because I spent most of my savings on the camera itself. I have maybe 600 or 700 dollars left for a lens but I need something that can do everything because I dont want to be carrying around a bag of parts or switching things out while im walking around Tokyo or Kyoto. I want to take pictures of the shrines and the neon lights at night and also some cool food shots and my wife. Someone mentioned a 24-105 thing but there are two of them and one is like thousands of dollars which I definitely cant afford right now. Is there just one lens that is good for everything that isnt too heavy? I really need help picking something fast so it gets here before my flight leaves. What is the best all-around lens for a Canon R6?
Totally agree on that zoom range. In my experience, having that extra reach without swapping glass makes a trip way more enjoyable and honestly way less stressful.
