honestly so fed up with my current setup it keeps freezing during ceremonies and I just cant do it anymore. My old 5D Mark IV is basically a paperweight at this point and the focus is just too slow for the weddings I have coming up in December. I really want to make the jump to mirrorless with the Canon R6 but the price is still so high and my budget is strictly around $1800 for the body. Is anyone seeing any early Black Friday leaks or actual sales for this? I really need to switch before my next big gig in Seattle and I'm losing my mind checking every site 24/7...
I made that same jump from the 5D and honestly I've been so satisfied with the switch. It just works well without any freezing issues during weddings. A few things that helped my budget:
- Call the Canon Loyalty Program. They usually give discounts if you trade in your old 5D serial number.
- Use a SanDisk 128GB Extreme PRO UHS-II SDXC for peace of mind. No complaints here, it's a solid upgrade.
