Where can I find the best deals on Canon mirrorless cameras?

Ive been shooting with my 5D Mark IV for years so I know my way around a sensor but man trying to move to mirrorless is a headache right now. My logic was that the R6 prices would crater once the Mark II hit the shelves but they're still hovering way too high for my $1500 budget. I need a new body by next month for a wedding in Chicago and I'm just getting frustrated with the usual suspects like B&H or Keh. Even the Canon refurbished site is constantly out of stock of anything decent. So I was thinking maybe there's some smaller reputable shops or specific forums I'm missing? I dont want to risk eBay scams but I'm getting desperate to find a legit deal on an R6 or maybe an R5 if the stars align...

honestly i was in the same boat last year when i needed a backup body for a shoot. i ended up skipping the big retailers and went to the fred miranda buy/sell forums. its a bit old school and you gotta pay for a membership to post, but the sellers there are usually pros who treat their gear like gold. i managed to snag a Canon EOS R6 20.1MP Mirrorless Body for around $1400 with a low shutter count. you gotta check the feedback scores religiously tho. another spot that actually has stock when canon is dry is mpb. i bought a Canon EOS R5 45MP Mirrorless Body from them once and their grading was super conservative. the excellent condition basically looked brand new. i dont trust ebay either for expensive glass or bodies... too many horror stories. stick to the enthusiast forums or dedicated used shops like mpb and you should be fine for that chicago wedding.
