I've owned the Fujifilm XF 27mm f/2.8 R WR for a long time and I'm very satisfied with it. It basically turns the X-M5 into a point-and-shoot. I've found the 26.1MP sensor really shines with this glass, and I've had no complaints about the sharpness across the frame. The Fujifilm XF 18mm f/2 R is also a great alternative. It weighs almost nothing (116g) and gives you that wider 27mm equivalent view. I've spent whole days walking with this setup and it's so much more comfortable than the 18-55mm zoom. Quick tip: Use the Fujifilm XF 27mm f/2.8 R WR aperture ring to quickly swap settings without diving into the X-M5 menus since it's light on physical dials.
Basically, the Fujinon XF 16-50mm f/2.8-4.8 R LM WR is the one to get if you want a modern zoom that actually fits the vibe of the X-M5. I'm very satisfied with how it handles. Internal zoom is a lifesaver for keeping things compact in a pocket and it feels way more solid than the older kit lenses.
