Honestly, i've been a bit let down by how most of these big lenses handle on the S9 body. I spent the weekend trying to make it work with my pro glass but the balance was just... bad. The S9 is so light that putting a heavy zoom on it makes the lack of a grip really obvious. Unfortunately, I had real issues with the ergonomics during a street shoot downtown. Here is what I found after looking at the technical weight distribution and some field testing:

• Panasonic Lumix S 26mm f/8
• I really wanted to love this because it makes the camera pocketable, but the f/8 fixed aperture is a massive limitation. It's not as good as expected when the sun starts going down, basically just a daylight lens.
• Sigma 45mm f/2.8 DG DN Contemporary
• This is my current favorite even with its flaws. Its only 215g and the rendering has a lot of character. Tbh, the autofocus isn't as snappy as the native 50mm, but the aperture ring feels great in the hand.
• Sigma 17mm f/4 DG DN Contemporary
• Technical specs on this are great for such a small unit. It has much better distortion control at the edges compared to the wider kit lenses I've tested. Big glass on this body is basically a recipe for wrist pain imo... stick to the small stuff.

Panasonic Lumix S 20-60mm f/3.5-5.6 is a great travel lens for Lumix S9.

For Panasonic Lumix S9, I would recommend the following lenses:
