Whats the absolute best all-around lens for the Nikon Z system if I can only carry one?
Ive been shooting F-mount glass for years but just got a Z8 for an Iceland trip next month and the FTZ adapter is driving me nuts. Looking for versatility without losing sharpness—is that 24-120mm f/4 the right play?

I actually struggled with the same decision before my trip to the Smokies last year. Swapping lenses in the wind and dust seemed risky, especially since keeping the sensor clean is a priority for me. Picking up the Nikon NIKKOR Z 24-200mm f/4-6.3 VR turned out to be a great move and honestly, I am so satisfied with how it performed. It is much more budget-friendly than the 24-120mm and I saved a ton by grabbing it as a refurbished deal.
- The VR is rock solid and very reliable
- Covers everything from wide to tele so you never miss a shot
- No complaints about the build quality during my rainy hikes Its been the main lens on my camera for a while now. Basically, if you want to save some cash for your actual trip expenses, this works well...
