I just got a Z6ii and I'm looking for one lens to rule them all for a PNW trip I have coming up in three weeks. My budget is capped at like $1,100 max.
So I was thinking about the 24-120mm f/4 S because everyone says it's super sharp but then I saw the 24-200mm is way cheaper and has more range. My logic was that the S line glass is better for those moody forest shots but then I read some people say the 24-200 is basically just as good if you stop it down. Now I'm just stuck between the extra reach or the constant aperture... is f/4 actually enough for street stuff at night or am I gonna regret not getting a fast prime instead?
Just grab the Nikon NIKKOR Z 24-120mm f/4 S. It’s way sharper than the superzoom tho, and youll really appreciate that constant aperture when the light starts dropping in the trees.
