Sony has just officially announced the new Sony FE 14mm F1.8 GM lens. It is a compact ultra-wide-angle for full-frame E-mount cameras, featuring 14 elements, including aspherical, ‘extreme’ aspherical, ‘Super’ ED and ED glass. Flare and ghosting is reduced by Sony’s ‘Nano AR II’ coating. The focus group is driven by dual ‘XD’ linear motors. The lens has a minimum focus distance of 0.25m (9.8″) and a 0.1x maximum magnification.
This new lens costs $1,598, first available for pre-order at B&H/ Adorama.
