Good News!!! According to the latest rumors from NI,Canon has just filed a new patent: Canon 400mm F/5.6 MIRROR (Catadioptric) Lens.

Canon has just filed a new patent showing a faster version of the EF-M 15-45mm in form of three separate lenses: EF-M 15-45mm f/1.8-3.5 EF-M 15-45mm f/2.0-4.0 EF-M 15-45mm f/2.8-5.0

Northlight-images posted several new patents for Canon Lenses: EF-S 30mm F1.8, EF 50mm F1.8 and 18-105mm f/4-5.6 With Built-in Telconverter.

Canon has just filed a new lens patent for Canon EF 135mm f/2 Apodization lens.

Canon has just filed a new patent for Canon 3.6-255mm F2.8-7 lens with a built-in extender for Powershot. It can take photos at 2000mm f/10 when converted to 35mm.

Canon has just filed a new patent for EF 600mm F4 DO IS USM lens. This new telephoto DO lens is rumored to be announced in late 2017.

Canon has just filed a new patent for PowerShot 6-22mm f/1.4-1.8 lens for 1 inch sensor. The lens will have the 35mm equivalent of 28-100mm f/1.4-1.8.

Canon has just filed a new patent for the Canon EF 400mm f2.8L IS lens with two stage built in extender.  This will give the lens a focal range of 400mm, 1.4x (560mm) & 1.7x (680mm).

Canon has just filed a new patent for EF 300mm F2.8L IS USM lens. Compared to the current EF 300mm f/2.8L IS USM II lens, this new telephoto prime lens will be lighter and smaller.

Canon has just filed a new patent for EF 28-560mm f/2.8-5.6L USM lens. This is a new crazy super zoom lens for Full-Frame cameras. lens would also have IS if it every came to market
