Sony Alpha Rumors says a trusted source has the date: all three new FE lenses land on September 8 around 3 p.m. London time. A second leak fills in European prices.
The trio:
- FE 400mm f/4.5 GM OSS — 108 × 242mm, 994g. U.S. $2,699–$2,899. EU ~€3,000 (SAR: about even with the Nikkor).
- FE 600mm f/6.3 GM OSS — 108 × 263mm, 995g. U.S. ~$3,800. EU ~€4,200 (SAR: about €300 under the Nikkor).
- FE 8-14mm f/3.5 G — U.S. ~$1,499, EU ~€1,700. G, not GM. Leaked photos here.
Both GM primes are under 1kg. SAR is stacking them against Nikon’s Z 400mm f/4.5 VR S (1,160g official, without collar) and Z 600mm f/6.3 VR S (1,390g). That is the 14% / 28% lighter claim. Dollar gap vs Nikon is quoted at about $500 and $1,300; the euro leak is closer.
No product photos of the two teles yet, and no optical sheet. Still a leak.
