Is the Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 STM actually the best lens for portraits on my Rebel T7 or should I be looking at something else? Im stressing out because my sisters wedding is in like three weeks and I promised to take some portraits of the bridesmaids but my kit lens just isnt cutting it for that blurry background look I really want.
I have a super tight budget of maybe 250 bucks max, which is why I keep eyeing the 50mm prime since its so cheap. But then I saw people mentioning the EF 85mm f/1.8 USM and now Im totally spiraling. I know the 85mm is technically better for portraits because of the compression but its way more expensive and Im worried about the crop factor on my T7 making it too zoomed in for small hotel rooms where we are getting ready.
