Heading to Yellowstone next month and I need a long lens for my 90D. Ive been looking at the Sigma 150-600 but some guys online say its too heavy for hiking and then others swear by the Canon 70-300 IS II. I only have about $900... is 300mm actually enough for wolves and stuff?

In my experience, 300mm is simply not enough focal length for distant wolves. Over the years, Ive found that maximum reach is the most critical factor for Yellowstone.
- Purchase the Sigma 150-600mm f/5-6.3 DG OS HSM Contemporary for Canon EF.
- Use a BlackRapid Sport Breathe Camera Strap to manage the lens weight comfortably while hiking.
