Niece's birthday is next Saturday and my kit lens sucks in low light. I saw the RF 50mm is cheap but is it gonna be too tight on the R7 sensor?
People say the 35mm is better but it's double the price. I only have $500 and I'm stressing about which one to grab before the party.

Honestly, the 50mm is probably gonna let you down for an indoor party. I had issues with it being way too narrow on that sensor.
- Youll be backing into walls just to get a basic group shot.
- Not as good as people claim for general use, its mostly for tight portraits.
- I think the 35mm is the bare minimum you need, even if the price is a total ripoff.
