Are there actually good deals on professional cameras during Black Friday? Im totally new to this and kinda overwhelmed by all the options online. Im looking to spend maybe 1500 bucks on a body for travel photography in the UK. Should I wait for November or just buy something now?

Honestly, waiting for Black Friday can be hit or miss for cameras! You should definitely check these out for travel:

Honestly, if you have 1500 bucks burning a hole in your pocket, don't just wait around for November. Sometimes the sales are just bundles with crappy kit lenses you dont even want. If you are doing travel, you want something compact but reliable. I have been using the Canon EOS R8 Full-Frame Mirrorless 24.2MP for a few months now and it is honestly a beast for the price. It is super light, which is a lifesaver when you are walking around cities all day, and the autofocus is shockingly good. Another solid pick if you dont mind a crop sensor is the Nikon Z50 Mirrorless Camera 20.9MP DX-Format. It is way cheaper than full-frame, leaving you plenty of cash for a decent lens. You really need good glass to make travel shots pop anyway. I am totally satisfied with my current setup, no complaints at all. If you see a deal on these now, just grab one and start shooting before the weather turns. Life is too short to wait for a potential fifty bucks off in November when you could be taking photos right now.

Honestly, 1500 is a solid budget, but dont hold your breath for massive discounts on the bodies themselves during Black Friday. Often, retailers just clear out old stock or force you into a bundle. If you are serious about travel, I have been shooting with the Olympus OM-D E-M5 Mark III 20.4MP for a while now and the weather sealing is unbeatable for the rainy UK weather. It is super lightweight too. If you prefer sticking with a larger sensor, the Panasonic Lumix S5 Full-Frame Mirrorless 24.2MP is usually a steal even at its normal retail price. Dont wait until November just for a potential 50 bucks off. You are better off buying used from a reputable shop so you can spend the extra cash on a decent glass lens, which matters way more than the body anyway.
