Are there any good mirrorless camera deals for Black Friday?

Im getting super stressed because my sister is getting married in January and my old DSLR is basically falling apart at the seams. I really need to get a new mirrorless camera before the wedding so I can actually take decent photos without the autofocus hunting for five minutes straight. My budget is around 1200 bucks, maybe 1500 if I find something that comes with a decent lens kit.

Ive been scouring the internet for like three days straight and my brain is honestly mush. I saw a deal on the Sony a6400 but then I read a thread on another site saying the menus are a nightmare and that the newer models are way better for skin tones, so I got spooked. Then I looked at the Canon R50 because it seemed super beginner friendly and cheap, but Im worried it might not be enough camera for a low light reception? Like, is that sensor gonna hold up?

My logic was that Black Friday is basically the only time I can afford an upgrade this big, but every site is just pushing affiliate links for models that seem way too expensive or out of stock. Im in the US, so obviously hoping for some decent shipping times too since the wedding is literally weeks away. I keep thinking maybe I should just wait for Cyber Monday but Im terrified everything good will be sold out by then. Does anyone actually track these things? Im just lost trying to figure out if these sale prices are even legit or just marketing fluff to clear out old stock that I should be avoiding anyway. Is there anything worth grabbing right now or am I just setting myself up for disappointment if I dont splurge on a full frame body?

For your budget, check the Sony Alpha 6700 26MP APS-C Mirrorless. It handles low light better than older models.

  • Improved autofocus tracking
  • Better color science
  • Great lens selection

Had a moment to think about your stress and honestly, stop spiraling. I was in your shoes last year right before a family event, and I ended up grabbing the Panasonic Lumix GH5M2 20.3MP Mirrorless because I wanted something rock solid that wouldnt quit on me. It honestly handles indoor lighting way better than my old DSLR ever did and I havent had any regrets. If you are worried about the R50 or Sony menus, just look at the Panasonic system instead. It is super intuitive and works well straight out of the box. Dont stress about the full frame stuff right now, honestly. Just get something reliable, learn the settings, and enjoy the wedding. You will be way happier with a camera you actually know how to use.

Honestly, grab the Fujifilm X-S10 26.1MP APS-C Mirrorless. In my experience, the color science is better than Sony for weddings and it handles low light way better than that Canon.
