My phone camera just isnt cutting it anymore for my sisters wedding in July and honestly looking at all these lens options and sensor sizes is making my head spin. I dont know the first thing about photography but I have about 800 bucks saved up and really want something thats easy to carry around since I live in the city and walk everywhere. Everything online looks super expensive or just confusing. Does anyone know if there are any decent mirrorless camera deals happening right now or am I better off just waiting for a sale later in the year?
@Reply #2 - good point! honestly just grab a Fujifilm X-T200 24.2MP Mirrorless if you find one used. it handles color way better than most, super easy for beginners.
Coming back to this, be careful jumping in blind. I learned the hard way that buying used is risky if you dont inspect the glass. For an 800 buck budget, check these out:
- Sony Alpha a6000 24.3MP Mirrorless is super compact but older, so just make sure the sensor is clean.
- Olympus OM-D E-M10 Mark IV 20MP Mirrorless is reliable for city shots but watch out for lower light performance. Id suggest handling them first.
Honestly, just snag a decent entry-level mirrorless body from Sony or Olympus. They are super light for city walking and definitely make a huge difference over any phone camera. You got this.
