Is there a holiday sale for Nikon Z6 II bodies this week?

Ive been refreshing the B&H and Adorama pages like crazy all morning because I really need to grab a Z6 II body before my cousins wedding in two weeks. Im based in Seattle and the local shops here are still charging full MSRP which is honestly a bit much for a body thats been out a while now. I did see a random listing on a site called PhotoProDeals for like $1,300 but the site looked kinda sketchy so I backed out pretty fast. My logic was that since the Z6 III just launched recently we should be seeing some deep clearance on the older model but it seems like everyone is holding firm on the price right now.

I read on one of those rumor sites that there might be a flash sale starting mid-week for the holiday but then another thread on Reddit said those specific rebates actually ended last Sunday... so now Im just confused. My budget is pretty tight and I really wanna stay under $1,450 if I can because I still need to pick up a 24-70mm lens too. Has anyone heard anything solid about a price drop hitting the big retailers this week or is this as good as it gets? I just dont wanna pull the trigger today and then see it $300 cheaper on Thursday...

Just saw this thread. I spent months tracking technical price cycles during the last Nikon launch. Official retailers usually stick to strict MAP pricing on the Nikon Z6 II Body 24.5MP Full-Frame.

Honestly, I wouldnt hold your breath for a massive drop this week. I went through the same thing last year trying to snag a Nikon Z6 II Body for a trip, thinking the price would tank once the newer models hit. Unfortunately, it never happened and I just felt frustrated. I kept refreshing just like you and ended up missing a small promo because I was waiting for a bigger one that never came. Nikon is notoriously stingy with deep clearance discounts. If your budget is tight, my tip is to check the official refurbished section on Nikons site. I grabbed a Nikon Z 24-70mm f/4 S that way and it saved me a ton. Stay away from those sketchy sites like PhotoProDeals tho... they usually sell gray market stuff with zero warranty which is just a total headache.

Late to the party but honestly, getting a brand new Nikon Z6 II 24.5MP Mirrorless Camera Body plus a lens for under $1,450 is a really tall order. Nikon is super precise with their pricing tiers to keep that body as a solid midrange option. I've been using mine for a while now and I'm totally satisfied with the dual EXPEED 6 processors. It works well for weddings because the eye-autofocus is reliable after the 1.60 firmware update. If the price wont budge, maybe look at a used Nikon Z6 24.5MP Mirrorless Camera. The BSI sensor is basically identical and it handles low light beautifully. Going used leaves you enough cash for the Nikon NIKKOR Z 24-70mm f/4 S Lens. That lens is surprisingly sharp and I have no complaints with it as a daily driver... better to be ready for the wedding than stress over a few bucks.
