Im trying to upgrade my setup before a trip to Japan next month and I need a new Canon body but the prices are just killing me. Ive been looking at B&H for their bundles vs waiting for a refurb deal on the official Canon site. My budget is around 1500 tops for the body and a lens. The Canon site seems way cheaper but the stock is always gone so fast. I also saw some listings on MPB but Im nervous about used gear if I cant see it first. Is it worth the risk going refurbished or should I just bite the bullet and pay full price at a retailer to guarantee it arrives by next month?

To add to the point above: be careful with those bundles. Sometimes they pack in cheap third-party accessories that just end up being e-waste. If I were you, I would just hunt for a solid used body on KEH instead of new retail.
