sorry if this is a dumb question but im totally lost. im looking to buy my first real camera for a trip to japan next month and my budget is like 600 bucks. ive been checking amazon but are there better places to find deals? i really dont want to overpay...

Honestly, check the Canon refurbished site first. You could snag a Canon EOS R50 24.2MP Mirrorless for way cheaper. Just be careful with random third-party sellers on Amazon!

Check MPB or KEH for used gear. I grabbed a Canon EOS M50 Mark II 24.1MP Mirrorless there; just verify the shutter count before buying because sensors wear out.
