Im getting super anxious about upgrading my gear. My wedding season kicks off in three weeks and my old DSLR is literally falling apart, so I really need to grab a Canon R6 body asap. My budget is pretty tight at around 1600 bucks. I saw some deals on eBay but honestly the refurbished listings look kinda sketchy and I read on a forum that grey market stuff is a nightmare if anything breaks. Then I checked Canon's official site but their prices are still way up there. Does anyone actually know where to find a legit discount without risking a total scam? Should I just wait for a sale or is there a better way to do this...
Building on the earlier suggestion, you could try local camera shops. Sometimes they do trade-ins and have a used Canon EOS R6 20.1MP Mirrorless sitting in the back that isnt online. Unfortunately, big retailers are pretty stingy with discounts right now.
- Check Facebook marketplace locally
- Ask local pros if they are upgrading
- Look for open box deals Its a total headache finding good gear on a budget, but dont give up yet!
Honestly, check the Canon refurbished store for the Canon EOS R6 20.1MP Full-Frame Mirrorless. It is rock solid, way safer than eBay, and usually fits your budget perfectly.
If you need it fast, look at MPB or KEH. They grade their gear accurately, so you know exactly what youre getting with the Canon EOS R6 20.1MP Full-Frame Mirrorless. The shutter count data there is legit, which matters for pro work. Avoid random eBay sellers since you cant verify the internal wear. Just be careful with international shipping if you go the used route, as customs might delay your gear before the wedding season starts.
