Is there actually a way to add a different prime lens to my Fujifilm X100V, or am I totally stuck with the one it came with? I just picked up this camera last week because I saw all these cool street photography shots on Instagram and I fell in love with the look, but now that I am actually using it, I feel like I might want something a bit different for zooming in on people without being right in their faces. I honestly have no idea how lenses work at all, like literally zero knowledge, so sorry if this is a super dumb question but I keep hearing people talk about 35mm vs 50mm and I am just confused.
I am planning a trip to Tokyo in about three months and I really want to get some candid shots of people at the markets and in the subway, but I feel like the current lens is just a bit too wide maybe? My budget is probably around 500 dollars or so if I need to buy something extra, but honestly I dont even know if I can screw another lens on here. I tried looking at the front of the camera and it looks fixed?
- Do I need to buy some kind of adapter?
- Is there a converter lens that makes it look like a 50mm?
- Will that make the photos look weird or distorted?
I really love the camera so far because it is so small and fits in my jacket pocket, so I dont want to ruin that portability, but man, I really wish I could get a little closer to the action. If anyone has any recommendations or can tell me if I am just barking up the wrong tree, I would seriously love some help because I feel like I am just clicking buttons hoping for the best right now...
