So I finally pulled the trigger on the Fuji X-S20 and I'm honestly so stoked to start using it. I’ve been a hobbyist for a while but my cousin just asked me to take some engagement photos for her next month in Portland and I really want to step up my game with a proper prime lens.

I’ve been scouring the forums and I keep seeing people rave about the XF 56mm f1.2 but then I read that the autofocus on the older version is kinda clunky and slow which makes me nervous for candid shots. Then there is the 50mm f2 which is way more affordable and tiny but I'm worried it wont give me that really creamy background blur I’m looking for. My budget is probably capped at like $600 or maybe $700 if I find a good deal on a used one because I also need to buy some extra batteries for the shoot.

The X-S20 has that great ibis so maybe I dont need the fastest lens in the world but I still want something sharp for people. Should I just save the cash and go for the f2 or is the 56mm really that much better for professional looking portraits even if its older? Or maybe something like the Viltrox 75mm? People say that one is a beast but it looks huge and heavy for the S20 body... what do you guys think?
