I just got this Fujifilm X-T5 and honestly I have no idea what I'm doing. I thought it came with everything but it turns out I need a lens and someone told me to get a prime one because they look better? I leave for my trip to Italy in like 5 days and I'm totally panicking because I dont have anything to take pictures with. I just want one lens that stays on the camera and does everything well.
- budget is maybe $700 tops
- need to be able to take pics of buildings and also my wife
- not too heavy cause we are walking a lot
Sorry if this is a stupid question I'm just really overwhelmed with all the numbers like 23mm or 35mm... which one do I actually need?
I did a solo trip through Florence a few years back with just one lens and it was honestly the best decision I ever made! You definitely want to grab the Fujifilm Fujinon XF 23mm f/2 R WR because it is tiny, fast, and handles those narrow Italian streets like a total dream!!
- 23mm is the perfect all-around focal length that actually fits the whole building in the frame.
- It is so light that you wont even feel it on your neck after ten miles of walking around Rome. Seriously, dont stress about the technical stuff or the numbers too much. Just grab that lens and focus on the trip... you're gonna love how the X-T5 feels with it!
