Is the Lumix S 85mm f/1.8 actually the best value prime lens for the L-mount system, or am I missing out on something way better by sticking to native glass? I feel like I'm spiraling a bit here because I have a wedding to shoot in about three weeks and my current zoom is just not cutting it in low light, which is stressing me out so much.

I keep reading on some forums that the Sigma 85mm f/1.4 DG DN is the holy grail, but its like way out of my budget right now. Then I saw a bunch of people recommending the Lumix 50mm f/1.8 because its super cheap and tiny, but I really need that extra reach for portraits and I dont know if a 50mm will give me the look I want. I looked at some reviews for the older Sigma 35mm f/1.4 but that thing is huge and I have a tiny camera bag that I take everywhere here in Seattle when I go shoot street stuff, so weight is a massive deal for me too.

Basically my budget is hovering around 500 dollars, maybe 600 if I find a deal, but I dont have much time to hunt for used gear. Im honestly just so worried about making the wrong call and then showing up to this wedding with a lens that doesnt perform or makes my shots look amateur. Every time I think I found the right one, I see a comment about edge sharpness or focus breathing and I just close my browser in frustration. Is there literally any other prime that competes with the Lumix 1.8 series for that price point or should I just stop overthinking it and pull the trigger on the 85mm? Im just so tired of research and I really just need to get this over with...
