What is the best all-around lens for Nikon Z mount cameras?

I just got a Nikon Z5 for my kids graduation trip to Japan next month but I have zero clue what I'm doing. Everything online about primes and f-stops is so confusing and I only have like 700 bucks left.

Sorry if this is dumb but what is the best all-around lens so I don't have to keep changing them?

Like someone mentioned, the 24-200mm is the standard recommendation, but honestly? I was pretty disappointed with mine. The photos just looked a bit flat. It's not as good as expected once the sun goes down, which is a total mood killer in places like Shinjuku. Since you have 700 bucks, try these instead:Nikon NIKKOR Z 24-70mm f/4 S: You can snag these used for dirt cheap now, maybe 400. It is super sharp. Like, pro-level sharp. The only real bummer is you can't zoom in super far with it.Tamron 28-75mm f/2.8 Di III VXD G2 for Nikon Z: This is killer for low light. Unfortunately, it's not quite as wide as the Nikon lenses, so cramped streets might be tough. Personally, I'd just get the 24-70 and spend the rest on some better food while you're there!

Honestly, you might want to consider the Nikon NIKKOR Z 24-200mm f/4-6.3 VR. Its basically the best travel lens for your Z5 if you dont wanna swap glass mid-trip.
