Im seriously at my wits end with my current setup. I swear my 24-70mm kit lens is just sucking the life out of my portraits and Im getting so frustrated seeing these flat, lifeless shots when I know my Z6ii is capable of way more. I have a wedding shoot coming up in like three weeks and I feel like if I dont get a proper prime lens by then I might just lose my mind. My logic was that maybe I could just fix the look in post but its not working, the bokeh just looks fake or messy half the time.

So I was thinking about the 85mm f/1.8 S, but then I keep hearing people rave about the 50mm f/1.2 S. My budget is around 2k max but I dont really want to go totally broke if the 1.8 is already sharp enough. Is the 1.2 actually worth that massive price hike or is it just hype? I need that creamy background separation and tack sharp eyes because this current setup is killing my confidence. Does anyone here actually regret buying the 1.2 or should I just stop overthinking and pull the trigger on the 85mm...?
