So I finally caved and bought a Sony a6400 after watching way too many youtube videos. Honestly I feel a bit overwhelmed because the kit lens is fine but I really want that blurry background look people talk about. Sorry if this is a super dumb question but I have no idea what I should be looking for. I am mostly just taking pictures of my golden retriever in the backyard and maybe some travel shots when I go to visit my sister in Chicago next month. My budget is pretty tight since I already spent a lot on the camera body so I am trying to keep it under 300 bucks if possible. I see all these weird numbers like 35mm or 50mm and f1.8 and it just makes my head spin. Does anyone know a cheap lens that will actually make a difference for a beginner like me? I just want something that makes my dog look professional without breaking the bank.
Check out these two sharp, budget-friendly options for your a6400:
