Leica has just officially announced the new Leica APO-Summicron-M 35mm F2 ASPH Lens. It is a compact prime lens for M-mount bodies, offering the closest focusing distance of any M-lens on the market at 30cm and has several aspherical surfaces and anomalous partial dispersion to reduce aberrations. This new lens costs $8,195, first available for pre-order at B&H.
