Leica Vario-Elmarit-SL 24-70mm F2.8 ASPH Lens Announced, Priced $2,795, Available for Pre-Order

Leica has just officially announced the new Leica Vario-Elmarit-SL 24-70mm F2.8 ASPH Lens. It is a constant aperture telephoto lens for full-frame mirrorless bodies made by Leica, Sigma and Panasonic. It has 19 elements in 15 groups, with 3 elements having aspherical surfaces. The focus group consists of a single element, which is driven by a stepping motor. The lens has 11 aperture blades. This new lens costs $2,795, first available for pre-order at B&H/ Adorama.
