Sony will announce the new Sony FE 50mm f/1.4 GM lens on February 21st, 2023.
The lens code is “SEL50F14GM” and it will basically be a more compact and more affordable version of the current Sony FE 50mm F1.2 GM lens. Also, it may be sized similarly to the current Sony FE 35mm F1.4 GM lens.
Since Sony already has the FE 50mm F1.2 GM, a high-performance, compact, and highly rated standard lens, it will be interesting to see how the new Sony FE 50mm F1.4 GM will coexist again the current FE50mm F1.2 GM.
