Nikon has just officially announced the new Nikon Nikkor Z 28mm F2.8 lens. It is a fairly compact prime lens with 9 elements in 8 groups, two of which have an aspherical design. Two stepping motors (STM) drive the lens’s focus group. The minimum focus distance is 10cm (3.9″) and the max magnification is 0.2x.
John Riley has just posted a full review of the newly announced Panasonic Lumix S 35mm F1.8 Lens (Amazon/ B&H/ Adorama). He tested this new lens on Panasonic S5 and found such pros: Excellent central sharpness, Dust, splash and freeze resistant, Virtually no central CA, CA well controlled at edges, Very low vignetting, Low distortion, Excellent handling, Fast and accurate AF , Low focus breathing, Matches with 24mm, 50mm and 85mm siblings and Very low flare.
