I highly recommend investing in RF L-series glass. The RF 24-105mm f/2.8L IS USM Z lens is my personal favorite - it covers a very useful focal range and the f/2.8 aperture is insanely fast for a zoom. Perfect for low light event work or narrative filmmaking where you need flexibility in framing without sacrificing speed.
The Canon CN-R cinema lenses are the best choice. But the price is not cheap of couse.

Building on the earlier suggestion, I have found the weight of the L-series zooms quite disappointing for extended handheld sessions on the R5C. Unfortunately, the Canon RF 24-70mm f/2.8L IS USM is not as good as expected regarding focus breathing. It can be quite distracting during cinematic rack focuses. If you want a more practical and lightweight kit, I recommend looking at the Canon RF 35mm f/1.8 Macro IS STM. It is much more manageable for gimbal work and the image quality is surprisingly decent for the price. Quick tip: Always verify if your lens supports the R5C in-camera focus breathing compensation. Even budget options like the Canon RF 16mm f/2.8 STM can perform well with it enabled, though they wont match the color science of the L glass.
