Thanks a million!
100% agree
Im glad you found the information you needed, but i'm curious to hear what gear you actually decided on. In my experience, it is always wise to prioritize reliability and build quality when you are investing in the RF system. I've tried many different lenses over the years and some definitely feel more robust than others in professional environments. Could you clarify what your total budget is? Also, are you looking for a versatile zoom for general use or are you more interested in specific primes? I just want to ensure you're making a safe choice for the long haul.
just saw this thread. before digging into deep technical stuff i gotta ask what you are actually aiming to shoot? sports, portraits, or maybe just travel stuff? makes a huge difference for which direction you go with the RF mount since the optics vary so much. honestly for a solid start you cant go wrong with these:
- Canon RF 24-105mm f/4L IS USM for the constant f/4 aperture and decent weather sealing
- Canon RF 50mm f/1.8 STM if you need something lightweight and fast for low light without breaking the bank the build quality on the L series is obviously superior but some of the cheaper non-L lenses actually hold up pretty well if you arent bashing them around daily. let us know the subjects you are focusing on and i can give a more specific technical breakdown.
