Just saw this and wanted to add a more budget-friendly perspective. Ive tried many combos since the R system launched and honestly... you dont always need the heaviest f/2.8 zooms to get pro results. The Canon RF 24-105mm f/4L IS USM is my go-to recommendation for most people. Its significantly lighter and cheaper than the flagship glass but still delivers that L-series contrast and color. If you find yourself needing more bokeh or low light performance, I usually suggest pairing it with a Canon RF 35mm f/1.8 Macro IS STM instead of dropping crazy money on the Canon RF 24-70mm f/2.8L IS USM. The 35mm is surprisingly sharp and gives you macro capabilities the big zooms just cant touch. Technicaly the 24-70 has slightly better corner resolution wide open, but for real world usage, the 24-105 and 35mm combo is way more versatile and half the weight. Let me know if you need any help picking out some telephoto options later on.

No worries! Honestly if you are looking to build out your kit from here, just stick with the native Canon stuff. You really cant go wrong with their glass. I have been shooting for ages and the way their latest optics handle light is just fantastic... total game changer for my workflow. Just get any of the high end zooms from Canon and you will be set for pretty much anything you want to shoot. Their build quality is amazing and you get that perfect compatibility. Welcome to the club!
