So I just got this Canon R50 for my birthday and I honestly have no idea what I'm doing yet lol. My parents got it for me because I want to take some nice pictures of my cat and also we have a trip coming up to the San Diego zoo next month but the lens it came with is just kinda okay? It doesnt really make the background look blurry like the photos I see online. Im looking for something that wont break the bank because I only have like 250 bucks saved up from my part time job. I went on amazon and got so confused by all the numbers like 50mm and f1.8 and stuff. What are some cheap lenses that are actually good for a beginner like me?
Yeah, youre spot on about that kit lens being kinda meh for the blurry look. It really limits you. I would suggest being careful with what you buy next tho because the mount type matters a lot and you dont want to waste your savings.
- look for a low f-number
- check the weight Just make sure to avoid anything too bulky for that tiny camera body or itll feel super unbalanced.
