Im stuck between the RF 14-35mm f4L and the 15-35mm f2.8L for my new R5 and honestly i cant decide. Im finally taking my dream trip to Zion next month and I need to pull the trigger soon!! The f4 is way lighter and smaller which is huge since I'll be hiking like 10 miles a day but then i worry the 45mp sensor will show every little flaw if i dont get the f2.8 version... price is a bit of a factor too cause $2400 for the 2.8 is really pushing my $2k budget but i could probably make it work if its worth it. is the 1mm extra on the wide end of the 14-35 really noticeable for landscapes?

Hiking 10 miles with the heavier glass is gonna be rough. Just to be sure tho, are you planning on shooting any astrophotography or strictly daytime landscapes? Also, do you already have a sturdy tripod for the long exposures?
