Ive been shooting on the Lumix GH series for years so I thought I knew what I was doing but switching to full frame with this S5II has me totally stressed out. I have a big wedding next month and I realized my old kit just isnt gonna cut it.
I need one lens that handles the ceremony and reception without me swapping glass. I was looking at the 24-105mm f4 for the reach but now Im worried its too slow for the dance floor. My budget is capped at 1200 since I just dropped so much on the body. Is the Sigma 24-70 better or is the Lumix native glass really better for the phase detect? I cant afford to miss focus...
I absolutely love the Sigma 24-70mm f/2.8 DG DN Art for L-Mount for wedding work! The constant f/2.8 is so much better for those dim reception halls than the f/4. It works amazingly well with the new phase detect on the S5II. Seriously, the focus is fantastic and reliable. It fits your budget perfectly while delivering professional-grade sharpness. You definitely wont regret picking this one up!
