Are there any student discounts available for Nikon Z series cameras?

trying to grab a Z6ii before my photo class starts next Tuesday but the pricing is stressing me out. I looked at the Nikon Education site and it mentions discounts but when I try to sign up my community college isnt showing up. Then I saw B&H has an EDU program but the price is the same as the sale price everyone else has right now so my logic was maybe the student discount stacks on top of regular sales? But it doesnt seem to work that way. My budget is 1500 max and I need this kit like yesterday... does anyone know if local shops actually honor these or is it just a big online retail thing...

Omg the stress is real! Local shops usually wont stack those discounts tho, its usually one or the other. If your budget is 1500, you should totally check the official Nikon refurb shop instead! I saved a ton that way.

@Reply 2 - good point! Just be careful with kits, I'd suggest grabbing a Nikon FTZ II Mount Adapter instead. Using older glass is the only way to stay under that 1500 budget.

^ This. Also, honestly, the Nikon Edu list is super picky about which schools it includes. I had a similar headache back when I was finishing my cert and my school wasnt listed either. I ended up checking out Adorama EduCreators Program and found their verification way more chill than Nikon direct. Tbh if youre capped at 1500, a brand new Z6ii with a lens is a stretch once you factor in tax and media. Dont forget you need a fast card like the ProGrade Digital CFexpress Type B Gold 128GB which adds up fast. I once tried to save money buying from a random person on a forum and the shutter count was way higher than they claimed, so I usually stick to KEH Camera Used Gear for safety since they actually inspect things. If the Z6ii stays out of reach, the Nikon Z5 Body is a solid tank of a camera and leaves you enough room to grab a lens like the Nikon NIKKOR Z 40mm f/2 and stay under budget.
