I've been eyeing the X-T5 for a while now since I'm planning a trip to Japan in June and really want a smaller body than my old setup. My logic was that we'd see some spring promos by now but everything I find online is just for those lens bundles which I dont need. I checked B&H and they have a 'deal' but it's basically just a free SD card and a bag. I read somewhere that a price drop might be coming because of new releases but then other people say the supply is too low for a sale. I'm trying to keep it under $1650 for the body alone. Is there anywhere specific I should be looking or is this just the price for now...
> I'm trying to keep it under $1650 for the body alone. Grab an open-box Fujifilm X-T5 40.2MP Mirrorless Digital Camera from Adorama! They hit $1599 often and that 40MP sensor resolution is absolutely fantastic!
Like someone mentioned, sales are scarce. I remember hunting for months before my Japan trip:
- Fujifilm X-T5 40.2MP Mirrorless: pricey/heavy
- Fujifilm X-S20 26.1MP Mirrorless: cheaper/portable Buy used tbh.
In my experience, prices on high-demand bodies like that rarely drop significantly when supply is still catching up. Over the years, I have learned that waiting for a major discount often leads to missing out. When I bought my current setup, I realized that finding it in stock at a reputable dealer was basically the only deal available. If you need it for June, I would just buy it now... prices stay firm for a long time.
