My old membrane board just died and I start my new remote job next Monday so I need a mechanical keyboard fast. Budget is strict at $80.

I did some digging online and saw blogs predicting Keychron and Epomaker deals, but then someone on Reddit said only their older Bluetooth models get discounted, not the V series. So my logic was to wait for the V3 to drop in price next week, but now Im stressed it wont even go on sale and Ill be stuck.

Are there any confirmed Prime Day leaks for keyboards yet or should I just buy something now?

Over the years, Ive tried many budget boards, and shipping delays during these big sales events are super common. If your new job starts next Monday, you need a guaranteed working setup on day one. Honestly, the discounts on the Keychron V series are usually pretty minimal anyway, maybe ten bucks at most. Instead of risking it, I recommend just buying the Keychron V3 QMK Wired Mechanical Keyboard right now. It regularly sits right around your $80 budget. Its a highly reliable, wired board that wont let you down. Going with a solid, proven option is always the safest bet for remote work.
