seriously where can i find a decent refurbished canon camera discount without getting scammed or ripped off? im currently tearing my hair out trying to choose between a refurb eos r50 from the official canon store or taking a gamble on mpb for an older dslr like the 80d since my absolute max budget is 600 bucks and i need something for a europe trip leaving in exactly three weeks. the canon site is out of stock on the cheap bodies half the time and ebay makes me super paranoid. am i just stuck paying full retail or is there some secret spot everyone else is using...

Take a breath, you definitely dont need to pay full retail and you can skip the sketchy ebay sellers. With a six hundred buck budget and a trip right around the corner, you want something reliable fast.

  • Check Canon's refurbished store obsessively in the morning, sometimes stock pops up unexpectedly and the Canon EOS R50 kit is totally worth it if you can snag one under your limit.
  • Look at MPB or KEH instead of ebay, since those sites actually grade the gear honestly and give you a warranty so theres zero gamble involved.
  • Grab an older body like the Canon EOS 80D 24.2MP DSLR paired with a cheap 50mm lens and you will still have cash left over for train tickets. I ve bought tons of gear from mpb over the years and honestly have zero complaints. Stick to the trusted refurb dealers and you will be set for europe without any stress.

> my absolute max budget is 600 bucks and i need something for a europe trip leaving in exactly three weeks Man three weeks is cutting it super close, id be sweating bullets too. Since the official store is being annoying with stock, you gotta look at reputable alternatives that actually ship fast. I buy and sell used gear constantly. Honestly MPB Canon EOS 80D DSLR Body is a solid bet if you want a tank of a camera thatll survive cobblestone streets and rain. The battery life on that thing smokes any mirrorless in your price range. Only downside is its a bit chunky to lug around all day. Another one to hunt for is a used KEH Sony Alpha a6400 Mirrorless Camera Body or an older Fuji if you can find one in budget, though staying in the Canon ecosystem is easier if you already have glass. Check KEH directly alongside MPB. Both grade their gear conservatively so you wont get nasty surprises. Just make sure whatever you grab has a solid return window in case it shows up and you hate the ergonomics before your flight. Watch out for slow shipping methods too. Pay for expedited or you'll be checking tracking numbers while packing your bags.
